Welcome to K-208's Website
Dear Parents,
It's hard to believe that the school year is coming to a close very soon. I am so amazed at how much your children have learned in Kindergarten! But just because school is ending for the summer, please do not let their learning stop! Review all the skills they have learned: snap words (all the lists we will give you in the summer packet), math skills (greater than, less than, flat shapes, 3-D shapes, addition, subtraction, Exemplars (especially writing explanations for the strategy they chose to help them solve the problem), writing proper sentences (beginning a sentence with a capital letter and ending with a period ., question mark ?, or exclamation mark !) and stretching out all the sounds they hear in each word they write so their writing is easy to read! Take them places, create memories for them to share in their writing in first grade! They grow so fast and love doing things with you. Before you know it they will be grown and will want to do things on their own. Cherish every moment with them! I love each and every one of them and this time of year is very difficult for me - having to let them go! But I will ALWAYS check up on them until they leave the school and then hope they come back to see me to let me know how they are! Thank you for sharing your children with me and working so closely together with me to help get your child ready for first grade! Have a wonderful, safe summer vacation!
With Love, Mrs. Karim
